Urinary incontinence is the involuntary loss of urine. This is an embarrassing, although common, problem resulting in leakage of urine with coughing and exercise, or a strong sudden urge to urinate before making it to the bathroom. When incontinence begins to affect your day-to-day activities, it’s time to talk to your doctor. Our physicians and clinic offer evaluation and a wide variety of treatment options.

The evaluation of incontinence may require a more comprehensive evaluation called urodynamic testing. This is especially important in complex cases or when surgery is considered. Our office conveniently offers this testing in-office.

Your doctor may recommend surgery for the treatment of your incontinence. Over the last decade, sling procedures have become the gold standard in surgical treatment of stress incontinence, leakage of urine from coughing and exercise. We offer Tension-free Vaginal Tape (or TVT slings), a minimally invasive procedure designed to treat stress incontinence. The procedure involves the placement of a thin ribbon of mesh below the urethra, restoring support and function to prevent leakage.
